ZyXEL ES1100-16 ma 16 portów Fast Ethernet. Można go zainstalować w szafach przemysłowych w rozmiarze 19 cali. Urządzenie umożliwia jednoczesną komunikację w obu kierunkach (Full Duplex), pracuje w trybie Store and Forward (sprawdza poprawność pakietów i przesyła dalej).
