Rozpoczęły się obchody Światowego Dnia Społeczeństwa Informacyjnego 2016
Obchody Światowego Dnia Społeczeństwa Informacyjnego potrwają od marca do czerwca 2016 r. Tegoroczne hasło brzmi: „Przedsiębiorczość w ICT na rzecz zmian społecznych”.
W ramach ŚDSI będą eksponowane innowacyjne obszary rozwoju ICT, które mają szczególne znaczenie dla rozwoju społeczeństwa informacyjnego. Obchody koncentrują się wokół różnych aspektów budowy społeczeństwa informacyjnego: cywilizacyjnych, prawnych, edukacyjnych i technicznych. Składają z konferencji, debat, imprez informacyjnych, konkursów i spotkań. Formuła wydarzeń jest otwarta dla wszystkich zainteresowanych.
Obecnie w ramach ŚDSI 2016 trwa m.in. ogólnopolski konkurs informatyczny dla młodzieży (15 lutego – 13 maja). W maju (18 i 19 maja) PTI organizuje konferencje: „Bezpieczeństwo danych sektorze publicznym”, a następnie „IT w edukacji”. Zaplanowano także konferencje z obszaru informatyki, elektroniki, telekomunikacji.
Kulminacyjnym punktem obchodów będzie jak co roku Wielka Gala Światowego Dnia Społeczeństwa Informacyjnego (2 czerwca), która zostanie połączona z przypadającymi na ten rok uroczystościami 35-lecia Polskiego Towarzystwa Informatycznego.
Tegoroczne obchody w Polsce zostały objęte patronatem Sekretarza Generalnego International Telecommunication Union Houlin Zhao oraz patronatem Polskiego Komitetu ds. UNESCO. W składzie Komitetu Honorowego ŚDSI 2016 znalazła się m.in. minister cyfryzacji Anna Streżyńska.
