Rekordowa sprzedaż komputerów Mac
Apple opublikowało raport finansowy za III kwartał roku obrotowego 2010, który zakończył się 26 czerwca. Zysk spółki wyniósł w tym okresie 3,25 mld USD. Sprzedaż komputerów Mac wzrosła o 33 procent.
Przychody w III kwartale osiągnęły 15,7 mld USD i były o 2 miliardy większe od oczekiwań dyrektora finansowego firmy, Petera Oppenheimera oraz o 61 procent przekroczyły zeszłoroczny wynik Apple’a. Zysk netto w porównaniu z III kwartałem fiskalnym 2009 r. wzrósł o 78 procent. Rekordowe wpływy Apple’a są przede wszystkim efektem dobrej sprzedaży komputerów i iPhone’ów. W ciągu trzech miesięcy klienci kupili 3,47 mln notebooków i desktopów Mac, czyli o jedną trzecią więcej niż rok wcześniej. Sprzedaż iPhone’ów poszła w górę o 61 procent (8,4 mln sztuk). Zmniejszył się natomiast popyt na iPody (spadek zbytu o 8 procent, 9,4 mln sztuk). W III kwartale klienci na całym świecie codziennie kupowali ponad 36 tys. iPadów. Firma sprzedała do 26 czerwca 3,27 miliona tych urządzeń.
W trwającym obecnie IV kwartale roku obrotowego Apple spodziewa się zarobić na czysto 3,44 mld USD, przy przychodach na poziomie 18 mld USD.
