Producent PC wszedł na rynek SSD i DRAM
Nowy biznes uruchomiono we współpracy z chińską firmą.
Acer wszedł na nowy rynek w Europie.
Acer w tym roku zdecydował się pojawić na rynku nośników SSD i DRAM. O takich planach informowano w kwietniu br. Komponenty produkuje chiński dostawca pamięci, Biwin Storage, który zajmuje się także serwisem.
Producent zamierza sprzedawać nowe podzespoły w USA i Europie. Na rynek niemiecki wszedł z produktami dla konsumentów i graczy. Są to SSD SATA i NVMe oraz DRAM DDR4 pod marką gaminową Predator oraz pod marką własną Acera.
W I poł. 2021 r. Acer zwiększył zysk netto o 222 proc., do ok. 203 mln USD, przy przychodach ok. 5,43 mld USD. Natomiast zysk netto za II kw. 2021 r. – ok. 104 mln USD – okazał się najwyższy od 11 lat.
Według TrendForce ceny klienckich nośników SSD wzrosną o 3 – 8 proc. w III kw. br. W Europie wzrosła zwłaszcza sprzedaż SSD NVMe i pojemności 1 TB i 2 TB.
