Prezes UOKiK odwołana

Premier odwołał ze stanowiska prezesa UOKiK Małgorzatę Krasnodębską-Tomkiel. Według rzecznik rządu decyzja ma związek z dążeniem do większej ochrony konsumentów.

Małgorzata Krasnodębska-Tomkiel będzie pełnić obowiązki szefa urzędu do czasu powołania następcy. Z UOKiK jest związana od 1998 r. Do jej kompetencji należało kształtowanie polityki antymonopolowej i ochrony konsumentów. M.in. zainicjowała i nadzorowała prace nad nowelizacją ustawy o ochronie konkurencji i konsumentów.

Oficjalnie przyczyny decyzji premiera nie podano. Według RMF24 rzecznik rządu, Małgorzata Kidawa – Błońska, komentując odwołanie stwierdziła, że w drugiej części kadencji premier chce położyć nacisk na większą ochronę konsumentów, zaś prezes UOKiK zbyt powoli reagowała na zmiany na rynku. Odwołanie ma być również elementem rekonstrukcji władzy – po ministrach nadszedł czas na szefów państwowych urzędów.

Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Konkurencji i Konsumentów odpowiada bezpośrednio przed premierem. Powoływany jest spośród osób wyłonionych w drodze otwartego naboru.
