Polskie centra Amazona pracują pełną parą
Gigant poinformował, że centra logistyczne pod Wrocławiem i Poznaniem ponad dwukrotnie poprawiły rekord przesyłek, wysłanych w sieci 28 europejskich magazynów Amazona.
Oba ośrodki – w Bielanach Wrocławskich koło Wrocławia oraz w Sadach pod Poznaniem – rozpoczęły dostarczanie paczek klientom w końcu października. W szczycie sezonu świątecznego (który już się rozpoczął), polskie centra Amazona mają dziennie wysyłać 600 tys. paczek. Dla porównania po uruchomieniu pełnej mocy nowego centrum logistycznego Actionu w Zamieniu, co ma nastąpić na początku 2015 r., dystrybutor będzie mógł ekspediować maksymalnie 100 tys. przesyłek dziennie.
W każdym centrum Amazona ma pracować ok. 2 tys. osób na stałe i dodatkowe 3 tys. w okresach największych zakupów (czyli np. przed świętami). Ośrodki mają powierzchnię ok. 95 tys. m kw. (13 boisk piłkarskich) każdy. Obsługują oprócz Polski także sąsiednie rynki.
