Polska fabryka Sharpa na sprzedaż
Fabrykę Sharpa w Ostaszewie i część mienia Sharp Electronics w Polsce przejmie słowacka spółka.
Słowacka spółka Universal Media Corporation złożyła wniosek w UOKiK o zgodę na przejęcie 100 proc. udziałów w Sharp Manufacturing Poland oraz nabycie części mienia polskiego oddziału firmy. Transakcja ma nastąpić zgodnie z umową zawartą między UMC a japońską centralą, dotyczącą przejęcia europejskiego biznesu Sharpa. Firma zmnejsza aktywność na rynku telewizorów ze względu na ostrą konkurencję. Zgodnie z umową UMC będzie mógł oferować produkty przejętej fabryki pod marką Sharp. Japońska firma ma zapewnić wsparcie w postaci badań i rozwoju. Polska fabryka Sharpa w Ostaszewie koło Torunia powstała w 2007 r. kosztem 44 mln euro. Dostarcza sprzęt Sharpa na rynki europejskie. Obecnie zakład zatrudnia ok. 700 osób, w czasach świetności było ich 3 razy więcej. Universal Media Corporation jest producentem urządzeń elektroniki użytkowej.
