Parlament Europejski za wspólną ładowarką w całej UE
W krajach Unii ma obowiązywać jeden standard ładowarki do wszystkich telefonów komórkowych i innych urządzeń przenośnych. Tak chce Bruksela. Parlament Europejski zgodził się na zmianę przepisów.
Nowe przepisy (zastąpią dyrektywę R&TTE z 1999 r. w sprawie urządzeń radiowych i końcowych urządzeń telekomunikacyjnych) mają ujednolicić prawo w krajach członkowskich w zakresie wprowadzania na rynek urządzeń radiowych, takich jak telefony komórkowe, piloty do otwierania drzwi w samochodzie i modemy. Do ich przestrzegania zostaną zobowiązani producenci sprzętu. Będą musieli zadbać o to, by telefony komórkowe i inny sprzęt przenośny trafiający na unijny rynek były kompatybilne ze wspólną ładowarką. Wprowadzając ją KE chce zmniejszyć ilość odpadów oraz obniżyć koszty, jakie ponoszą firmy z powodu obowiązywania na rynku różnych standardów urządzeń.
Projekt nowych przepisów musi jeszcze zatwierdzić Rada Unii Europejskiej. Jeśli regulacje wejdą w życie, kraje członkowskie będą miały 2 lata na dostosowanie prawa do wymogów unijnych, a producenci urządzeń – dodatkowo 1 rok.
