Ostry zjazd na rynku kart graficznych

Tak źle jeszcze nie było w III kw.

Sprzedaż kart graficznych w III kwartale roku jest zwykle wyższa niż w II kwartale. W tym roku jednak spadki biją rekordy. W III kw. br. światowe dostawy kart graficznych stopniały o 19,2 proc. wobec II kw. br. – ustalił Jon Peddie Research.

Przeciętnie ta różnica – biorąc średnią z ostatnich lat – wynosi prawie 15 proc. na plus. Firma badawcza wyjaśnia mizerny bilans dużymi zapasami w kanale sprzedaży jak i zbyt optymistyczną oceną zapotrzebowania na karty graficzne ze strony "kopaczy" kryptowalut.

W porównaniu rok do roku dołek był ponad 36-procentowy. W sumie światowy rynek tych podzespołów wchłonął w III kw. br. 9,9 mln szt. Dane obejmują zarówno karty sprzedawane luzem, jak i zamawiane przez producentów sprzętu do komputerów i serwerów. W III kw. br. blisko 32 proc. komputerów wprowadzonych na globalny rynek miało zewnętrzną kartę graficzną (spadek o 3,5 proc. wobec II kw. br.).
