Oppo ogłasza Warszawę stolicą regionu. Nowy szef
Oppo tworzy regionalne struktury CEE z centralą w Polsce. Producent twierdzi, że ten rynek jest dla niego szczególnie ważny.
Johnny Zhang przejął stery Oppo w regionie CEE. W minionych latach był m.in. szefem grupy enterprise w Huawei w Polsce.
Oppo ogłosiło utworzenie regionalnych struktur dla Europy Środkowo-Wschodniej z siedzibą w Warszawie. Aktualnie obejmują one 11 krajów (Polska, Czechy, Słowacja, Rumunia, Węgry, Turcja, Rosja, Ukraina, Mołdawia, Kazachstan, Uzbekistan).
Szefem Oppo w regionie został Johnny Zhang. Z firmą jest związany od 2 lat. Poprzednio był CEO w Niemczech.
Johnny Zhang pracował już w Polsce w latach 2014 – 2018 w strukturach Huawei. Kierował Enterprise Business Group (2017 – 2018), a przedtem zarządzał współpracą producenta z P4 (Play).
W latach 2018 – 2019 pełnił funkcje kierownicze w Xiaomi, gdzie był m.in. szefem firmy w Hiszpanii.
Inwestycje w regionie CEE
Oppo zapewnia o długoterminowym zaangażowaniu w regionie. Zainwestowało w zakład produkcyjny w Turcji, gdzie 800 pracowników będzie produkować smartfony oraz w centrum testowe w Rumunii.
Firma zamierza wykorzystać przejście użytkowników na sprzęt 5G. Przewiduje się, że do końca 2022 r. w regionie CEE liczba użytkowników sieci piątej generacji wzrośnie do ok. 20 mln, a w ciągu kolejnych 5 lat do 200 mln.
