Agresywna promocja mieszanej rzeczywistości (Mixed Reality) przez Microsoft skłoniła wielu producentów, w tym Acera, Asusa, Della i HP do wejścia na ten rynek – informuje Digitimes. Mieszana rzeczywistość łączy elementy cyfrowe i fizyczne.

Acer zacznie dostarczać w marcu br. swoje gogle MR, zaprojektowane specjalnie dla deweloperów. Z kolei Asus zamierza rozpocząć produkcję swoich gogli VR w III kw. 2017 r. Prawdopodobnie Samsung wyprodukuje wyświetlacze do jego urządzeń – według informacji z azjatyckich firm z łańcucha dostaw.

Pojawienie się nowych graczy może zagrozić pozycji Samsunga, który jest liderem światowego rynku pod względem ilości sprzedanych urządzeń do wirtualnej rzeczywistości (ponad 4 mln szt. w 2016 r.). Z drugiej strony koreański gigant jest głównym dostawcą paneli AMOLED, wykorzystywanych w goglach VR także innych marek, więc w ten sposób korzysta na rozwoju rynku. Tym bardziej, że cena tych wyświetlaczy idzie w górę z uwagi na rosnący popyt.
