Nokia powraca do smartfonów
Fiński koncern ogłosił, że na rynku ponownie pojawią się smartfony i tablety marki Nokia.
Nokia nie zamierza jednak powracać do urządzeń z Windowsem. Nowy sprzęt będzie miał na pokładzie Androida. 'Nowe smartfony i tablety połączą jedną z najbardziej znanych marek mobilnych z głównym system operacyjnym na świecie i społecznością develeperów’ – poinformował koncern. Licencję na opracowanie pełnego portfolio smartfonów i tabletów Nokii otrzymała na 10 lat spółka HMD. Może ona korzystać z technologii i patentów mobilnych Nokii, która w zamian będzie otrzymywać prowizję od sprzedaży oferowanych przez HMD urządzeń z logo fińskiej firmy
W 2014 r. Nokia sprzedała swój biznes mobilny Microsoftowi za 5,44 mld euro. Zgodnie z umową amerykański koncern miał prawo oferować zakupione produkty pod marką Nokia przez 10 lat, ale szybko zrezygnował z tej możliwości. Obecnie w Microsofcie biznes związany ze smartfonami stracił na znaczeniu.
