EX6120 zwiększa zasięg istniejącej sieci internetowej. Podłącza się go do gniazdka sieci elektrycznej. Producent zapewnia, że jest kompatybilny z każdym standardowym routerem Wi-Fi (działającym w standardach 802.11ac oraz b/g/n). Urządzenie działa w dwóch częstotliwościach (2,4 GHz oraz 5 GHz). W celu zwiększenia prędkości transferu można oba jednocześnie wykorzystać do jednej transmisji.

EX6120 może pracować w trybie wzmacniacza sygnału albo punktu dostępowego. Ma port ethernetowy, który pozwala na podłączenie do sieci urządzeń przewodowych.

Urządzenie cechują niewielkie wymiary (122 x 74 x 38 mm) i waga (130 g). Diody LED na obudowie pokazują moc sygnału, co pomaga wybrać odpowiednie miejsce instalacji. Z urządzeniem współpracuje aplikacja do analizy sieci Wi-Fi.
