Netgear: pierwszy gigabitowy router nowej generacji
Producent wprowadził na rynek routery R6300 oraz R6200, działające w standardzie 802.11ac. Pierwszy z nich umożliwia bezprzewodowy transfer danych z prędkością do 1,3 Gb/s na częstotliwości 5 GHz.
W przypadku R6200 maksymalna prędkość przesyłania danych to 867 Mb/s. Oba routery są dwuzakresowe, działają na częstotliwości 2,4 i 5 GHz. Funkcja ReadyShare umożliwia podłączenie dowolnego urządzenia z USB i odtwarzanie plików multimedialnych, drukowanie, przesyłanie np. nagrań audio do komputera, tabletu czy smartfona. Urządzenia mają funkcje kontroli rodzicielskiej oraz opcje dostępu do sieci wybranym gościom. Dane są szyfrowane w standardzie WPA/WPA2. Siecią można zarządzać z pomocą laptopa czy smartfona.
