NEC skasuje 3 tys. miejsc pracy i zamknie niektóre swoje fabryki w Japonii, aby zredukować koszty – informuje agencja Kyodo. Redukcje mają objąć dział administracyjny i sprzętowy. To część planu biznesowego na kolejne 3 lata. Producent będzie nakłaniał do dobrowolnych odejść. Zapowiada również rozmowy na temat redukcji ze związkami zawodowymi.

NEC planuje również przebudować swoje przedsiębiorstwa związane z energią i wycofać się z rozwoju i produkcji małych systemów magazynowania energii elektrycznej – poinformowała firma.

Po 9 miesiącach roku finansowego (zakończy się 31 marca br.) NEC miał w przeliczeniu ok. 16,4 mld dol. przychodów (+9,9 proc.) oraz ok. 160 mln dol. zysku netto przypadającego akcjonariuszom dominującej spółki. Rok wcześniej była strata. Sprzedaż w sektorze przedsiębiorstw spadła o 2,5 proc. rok do roku.
