MSI: Cyklon w karcie graficznej
Producent wprowadził do sprzedaży kartę graficzną R6850 Cyclone 1GD5 Power Edition, wyposażoną w nowy system chłodzenia.
Karta ma chipset AMD Radeon HD6850. Rdzeń graficzny jest taktowany z częstotliwością 860 MHz, a pamięć o pojemności 1 GB GDDR5 (256 bit) z częstotliwością 4400 MHz.
Zamontowany w R6850 system chłodzenia Cyclone składa się z radiatora o dużej powierzchni, rurek cieplnych i 90-milimetrowego wentylatora. Według producenta Cyclone pracuje o 4 dB ciszej w porównaniu ze standardowymi systemami, natomiast temperatura rdzenia graficznego jest o 14 st. C mniejsza niż w konstrukcji referencyjnej (przy pełnym obciążeniu). Przełącznik umożliwia wybór dwóch trybów pracy wiatraka: Performance i Silent. Kartę wyposażono w 6+1 –fazową sekcję zasilania. R6850 ma kondensatory Hi-C i Solid oraz cewki SFC. Przy pomocy dołączonego oprogramowania MSI Afterburner użytkownik może regulować napięcie na rdzeniu graficznym i pamięci.
Karta ma złącza dwa złącza DVI (jedno Dual-link), jedno DisplayPort i jedno HDMI.
