Polixel rozpoczął sprzedaż modemów RAD HCD-4, któe pozwalają na synchroniczną transmisję symetryczną (HDSL) strumieni do 4 Mb/s przez 4-żyłową linię dzierżawioną.
Według producenta, modem zwiększa zasięg transmisji do 3 km. Ma on zainstalowane funkcje filtrujące, wyrównujące poziom sygnału, funkcje kodowania 2B1Q oraz eliminacje echa. Konfigurowanie, kontrola, monitorowanie i diagnostyka modemu jest realizowana z panela czołowego modemu lub z terminala ASCII, podłączonego do dedykowanego asynchronicznego portu kontrolnego.
Opcjonalnie modem może być wyposażony w interfejs do szybkiej transmisji danych RS-530 lub V.35 lub spełniać funkcje mostka (bridge). HCD-4 jest zasilany ze źródła 220 VAC lub 48 VDC. Modem jest sprzedawany w postaci wolnostojącej, może być także instalowany w szafie 19-calowej.
