Microsoft tnie ceny licencji
Wkrótce laptopy mogą być tańsze.
Od 1 marca br. Microsoft obniży ceny licencji Windows 10 instalowanego na laptopach z ekranem mniejszym niż 14,1 cala – według informacji z azjatyckich firm z łańcucha dostaw. Obniżka ma dotyczyć urządzeń z dolnej półki cenowej.
Microsoft stosuje różne stawki za licencje na Windows, w zależności od wielkości ekranu, segmentu cenowego, do którego zalicza się laptop, rodzaju konstrukcji (klasyczna lub 2 w 1) i rynku, na który kierowany jest sprzęt (rynki dojrzałe lub wschodzące).
Obniżka jest zapewne związana z konkurencją chromebooków, które są oferowane w większości w formatach do 14 cali, kosztują mniej niż urządzenia z Windows (bo licencja jest darmowa), a ich sprzedaż rośnie. Chromebooki wprowadziły już do asortymentu prawie wszystkie największe marki na rynku PC.
