Microsoft oferuje 1 mld dol. Samsungowi
Koncern z Redmond zaproponował koreańskiej firmie 1 mld dol. w zamian za wprowadzenie do oferty smartfonów z Windows Phone - to nieoficjalna informacja.
Wiadomość krążącą w sieci zamieścił na Twitterze szef
serwisu technologicznego Mobile-review.com. Według niego trwają negocjacje
między Samsungiem a Microsoftem, zaś kwota 1 mld dol. ma przekonać koreańską
firmę do rozpoczęcia produkcji sprzętu z Windows Phone. Nie wiadomo, jaka jest
odpowiedź na tę propozycję. Obie firmy nie wypowiadają się oficjalnie w tej
sprawie.
Podobną ofertę Microsoft złożył swego czasu Nokii,
zachęcając ją do wdrożenia produkcji Lumii z systemem Windows kwotą 250 mln
dol. co kwartał na „wsparcie platformy”. Oferta została przyjęta.
Obecnie 90 proc. smartfonów z Windows Phone ma logo Nokii, ale Microsoftowi zależy
na poszerzeniu asortymentu na inne marki (smartfony z WP wprowadził do oferty m.in.
HTC, również Samsung wypuścił jeden model – Ativ S).
