Luka w urządzeniach WD
Niektóre dyski sieciowe są narażone na atak. Producent zapewnia, że naprawił błąd.
Ostatnio jest głośno o błędzie w procesorach Intela i innych producentów, ale jak się okazuje sprzęt
innej znanej marki również może być narażony na problemy. Otóż w niektórych dyskach sieciowych WD MyCloud odkryto "tylne drzwi", które umożliwiają zdalny nieautoryzowany dostęp do danych (z pomocą określonego loginu i hasła), a nawet ich usunięcie. Specjalista od bezpieczeństwa, który wykrył błąd, twierdzi, że już w połowie 2017 r. poinformował o nim firmę.
Według niebezpiecznik.pl narażone są modele MyCloud do wersji 2.30.165, Mirror do wersji 2.30.165, Gen 2, PR2100, PR4100, EX2 Ultra, EX2, EX4, EX2100, EX4100, DL2100 i DL4100. Problem nie dotyczy natomiast urządzeń z MyCloud 04.X oraz z firmware'm 2.30.174.
WD zapewnia, że lukę załatała aktualizacja firmware'u (2.30.172 i kolejne) i zaleca instalację nowego oprogramowania w swoich dyskach sieciowych.
