Lenovo będzie wymieniać płyty główne z wadliwym chipsetem Intela w zakupionych komputerach
W związku z usterką chipsetów Intela z serii 6, Lenovo zapowiedziało wymianę potencjalnie wadliwych płyt głównych w swoich komputerach. Opublikowano listę modeli, których może dotyczyć problem.
Szczegóły specjalnego programu serwisowego zostaną ogłoszone na stronie www.lenovo.com/support w „najbliższych tygodniach”. Wymiana będzie bezpłatna. Problem związany z niewłaściwie funkcjonującym układem Intela do procesorów Sandy Brigde, który może prowadzić do degradacji portu SATA II, dotyczy następujących modeli komputerów Lenovo: notebooki IdeaPad – Y460P, Y560P, Z570, G470, G570, V370, V470, V570, B470, B570, desktopy IdeaCentre – K330, K330A, B520.
Według Lenovo na rynek trafiła niewielka ilość urządzeń wyposażonych w płyty główne z chipsetami Intela z serii 6, natomiast od 1 lutego, gdy Intel poinformował o problemie, taki sprzęt w ogóle nie jest sprzedawany. Producent podkreślił, że możliwość awarii feralnych płyt jest niewielka – wada może ujawnić się w 5 proc. urządzeń w ciągu 3 lat.
