Konica Minolta dołącza do Mopria Alliance
Konica Minolta dołączyła do zrzeszenia, które ma na celu wprowadzenie wspólnego standardu bezprzewodowego drukowania z urządzeń mobilnych.
Mopria to założone w ub.r. zrzeszenie producentów sprzętu drukującego i oprogramowania (założycielami organizacji są Canon, HP, Samsung, Xerox). Pracuje nad projektem jednego standardu interfejsu dla urządzeń mobilnych, który zapewni kompatybilność z maszynami MFP różnych producentów. Obecnie przygotowywane jest rozwiązanie na Androida. Pierwsze drukarki zgodne z nowym standardem prawdopodobnie pojawią się na rynku jeszcze w tym roku.
Przystąpienie do aliansu na rzecz druku mobilnego kolejnego gracza jest związane z rosnącym popytem na sprzęt z tego typu funkcjonalnością. W ub.r. według IDC 24 proc. użytkowników smartfonów i 32 proc. posiadaczy tabletów chciało drukować ze swoich urządzeń. Do 2015 r. zainteresowanie drukiem mobilnym ma wzrosnąć o ponad 50 proc.
