Ilona Weiss od 1 stycznia 2021 r. będzie prezesem zarządu spółki PMPG Polskie Media. Uchwałę w sprawie powołania rada nadzorcza podjęła 29 grudnia 2020 r. 

Dzień wcześniej rezygnacje złożyli dotychczasowi członkowie zarządu PMPG: Ewa Rykaczewska i Robert Pstrokoński.

Jak wyjaśnia spółka, decyzja o powołaniu Ilony Weiss na stanowisko prezesa zarządu jest związana z przyjętą na początku roku strategią, której celem jest transformacja cyfrowa grupy kapitałowej PMPG Polskie Media.

„Jesteśmy nadal na początku tego procesu. Potrzebujemy wdrożyć innowacyjne (inteligentne) technologie i rozwiązania biznesowe” – wyjaśnia spółka. Liczy na kompetencje i doświadczenie nowej prezes w obszarze rozwiązań cyfrowych i na stanowiskach zarządczych. Ilona Weiss jako lider grupy ma przeprowadzić PMPG Polskie Media przez proces zmian technologicznych.

„Spółki mediowe stają się dziś spółkami technologicznymi.  O ile publikacje wytwarzane są w formie tradycyjnej, o tyle w modelu dystrybucji prasy nastąpiła radykalna zmiana – stanie się ona w najbliższych latach całkowicie cyfrowa i kluczowa w sposobie interakcji Czytelnika z treścią. Dołączam do zespołu PMPG, spółki, która tak odważnie i stanowczo postawiła na cyfryzację” – mówi Ilona Weiss.

Do grupy kapitałowej PMPG należą m.in. Agencja Wydawniczo-Reklamowa Wprost, wydawca tygodnika „Wprost” (od br. ukazuje się tylko w formie cyfrowej), oraz spółka Orle Pióro, wydawca tygodnika „Do Rzeczy” oraz magazynu „Historia Do Rzeczy”. W I poł. 2020 r. grupa osiągnęła 17,3 mln zł przychodów, wobec 22,7 mln zł rok wcześniej. PMPG wypracowała natomiast zysk netto wielkości 638 tys. zł wobec straty blisko -1,5 mln zł w I poł. 2019 r. Grupa działa od 1998 r.

Ilona Weiss już wcześniej współpracowała z PMPG

Ilona Weiss nie jest w PMPG Polskie Media całkowicie nową osobą. Od kilku miesięcy współpracuje z zespołem grupy w roli konsultanta, uczestnicząc już w procesie cyfrowej transformacji – poinformował Michał M. Lisiecki, założyciel i większościowy akcjonariusz spółki.

„Nowa prezes jest przedsiębiorczym i zorientowanym na wyniki liderem, posiadającym wyczucie biznesowe i zdolność do przekształcania działalności i napędzania wzrostu na różnych rynkach, na co wskazuje wiele zrealizowanych przez nią z sukcesem projektów. Przekonałem się o tym osobiście przy wspólnej pracy z Uniwersytetem Stanforda i UPTC w Kalifornii” –  komentuje Michał M. Lisiecki.

Ilona Weiss ostatnio – w latach 2015–2019 – pełniła funkcję prezesa zarządu grupy ABC Data,  a wcześniej (2012–2014) była jej wiceprezesem. Kierowała również ABC Data Germany (2015–2016).

W latach 2010–2012 była wiceprezes zarządu w Sygnity, a także przewodniczącą rady nadzorczej Sygnity Europe (2012), wiceprzewodniczącą rady nadzorczej Max Elektronik (2010–2012), członkiem rad nadzorczych spółek: Winuel (2010), PB Polsoft (2010–2011), Sygnity Technology (2010–2011) oraz MCI Capital TFI (2013–2019). Była partnerem do spraw inwestycji w grupie MCI Capital (2012–2014).

Wcześniej była dyrektorem finansowym w spółce Sage (2008–2010), gdzie odpowiadała za zarządzanie strategiczne i operacyjne finansami grupy w Polsce.

Od 1996 do 2006 r. Ilona Weiss zajmowała kierownicze stanowiska w dziale finansowym grupy Alcatel. Po globalnej fuzji Alcatel–Lucent w 2006 roku objęła stanowisko menedżera finansowego odpowiedzialnego za unifikację zasad sprawozdawczości finansowej połączonych firm w Polsce oraz konsolidację.

Karierę zawodową rozpoczęła w 1992 roku w Banku Handlowym w Warszawie.
