IBM zainwestuje w Polsce
Koncern prawdopodobnie wybuduje centrum usług informatycznych we wschodniej części kraju – ustaliła Rzeczpospolita.
Wstępne rozmowy dotyczące przedsięwzięcia miały miejsce podczas EXPO w Szanghaju. Przedstawiciele polskiej delegacji (przewodniczyli jej wiceministrowie gospodarki Dariusz Bogdan i Rafał Baniak) spotkali się w tej sprawie z wiceprezesem IBM. Niewykluczone, że nowe centrum powstanie we wschodniej Polsce, co pozwoliłoby IBM pozyskać rządowe wsparcie finansowe. We wrześniu producent uruchomił Centrum Dostarczania Usług IT we Wrocławiu, w którym zatrudnienie ma znaleźć ok. 3 tys. specjalistów.
IBM nie jest jedynym zagranicznym producentem, o którym mówi się w kontekście nowych inwestycji w Polsce. Według Ministerstwa Gospodarki chęć utworzenia centrum badawczo-rozwojowego w naszym kraju zadeklarowała chińska firma ZTE. Inny producent z Państwa Środka, Huawei, planuje budowę centrum outsourcingu procesów biznesowych (BPO) w regionie Europy Środkowo-Wschodniej. Jak zapewnia resort gospodarki, Polska jest na liście najatrakcyjniejszych lokalizacji.
