IBM: nowe Data Center w Polsce
Producent uruchomił centrum przetwarzania danych w Błoniu koło Warszawy. To trzeci tego typu ośrodek IBM w naszym kraju.
Powierzchnia obiektu wynosi ok. 3,5 tys. m kw. Według Alesa Bartunka, Dyrektora Generalnego IBM w Polskę i Kraje Bałtyckie, otwarto go w odpowiedzi na rosnące zapotrzebowanie klientów na moc obliczeniową. – Nasz ośrodek może spełniać rolę podstawowego, jak również zapasowego centrum przetwarzania danych – poinformował Zbigniew Sobieralski, Dyrektor Działu Strategic Outsourcing Delivery w IBM Polska.
Budynek ma klasę IBM LEVEL 3. Jak zapewnia producent, gwarantuje najwyższy poziom zabezpieczeń przed ogniem, zalaniem, wybuchem, spełnia wymagania norm i certyfikatów w zakresie ochrony przed włamaniem, szczelności przed dymem, wodą gaśniczą, pyłem, odporności na wstrząsy udarowe, eksplozję i in. Ponadto centrum zostało zaprojektowane zgodnie z wymogami ekologicznymi.
Pomieszczenie przeznaczone na sprzęt informatyczny zostało zbudowane z wykorzystaniem technologii Rittal (dawniej Lampertz). Według IBM to największa hala IT na świecie wybudowana w tej technologii.
