HP łączy działy PC i drukarek
Koncern ma kolejny pomysł na restrukturyzację - zintegruje działy produkujące komputery (PSG) i rozwiązania do druku (IPG). Zmiana ma przyczynić się do poprawy wyników i ułatwić życie partnerom.
Nowa jednostka będzie nazywać się Printing and Personal Systems Group. Jej szefem zostanie dotychczasowy dyrektor PSG (Personal Systems Group) – Todd Bradley. Vyomesh Joshi, który kierował IPG (Imaging and Printing Group), przejdzie na emeryturę. Fuzja według HP powinna usprawnić łańcuch dostaw, poprawić obsługę klientów i strategię marketingową. – Na zmianie skorzystają nasi klienci, partnerzy i udziałowcy – przekonuje prezes HP Meg Whitman.
PSG i IPG to dwa ważne działy koncernu, które są ostatnio mało dochodowe. Na rynku sprzętu komputerowego panuje stagnacja. W segmencie laserowych urządzeń drukujących HP po wielu latach oddało pozycję lidera Samsungowi. Obie jednostki łączono już kilka lat temu, jednak z fuzji zrezygnował w 2005 r. ówczesny prezes HP, Mark Hurd.
To nie koniec zmian. Organizacja Global Accounts została wcielona do nowej HP Enterprise Group, która obejmie serwery, storage, sprzęt sieciowy. Jej szefem został David Donatelli. Zdaniem HP nowe struktury mają przyspieszyć podejmowanie decyzji, zwiększyć efektywność działań i ułatwić kontakt z partnerami i klientami.
