Hamowanie na rynku PC i gamingu zdołowało Nvidię
Koncern wyraźnie przestrzelił prognozę. Musi zrobić 1,3 mld dol. odpisów.
Porządnie spadła sprzedaż gamingowych kart graficznych, nieźle sobie radził jednak biznes data center Nvidii.
W II kw. 2022 r. Nvidia według wstępnych danych osiągnęła 6,7 mld dol. sprzedaży. To wprawdzie o 3 proc. więcej w ujeciu rok do roku, ale o 19 proc. mniej niż w I kw. 2022 r. To także bilans niższy aż o 1,3 mld dol. niż własna prognoza koncernu.
Plan firmy znacznie większej sprzedaży pokrzyżowało spowolnienie na rynku PC i gamingowym. W efekcie na kartach graficznych dla graczy zjazd na obrotach wyniósł wstępnie aż 44 proc. wobec I kw. 2022 r. (oraz -33 proc. rok do roku). Nie dość, że koncern znacznie przestrzelił prognozę, to jeszcze musi zrobić spore odpisy – 1,32 mld dol. – ze względu na zalegające zapasy komponentów.
Jasnym punktem jest jednak biznes data center Nvidii, gdzie widać stabilizację w br. Przychody w II kw. 2022 r. (3,8 mld dol.) okazały się podobne jak w I kw. 2022 r. (+1 proc.). Natomiast w ujęciu rok do roku było to już 61 proc. na plusie.
