Generalny Inspektor Ochrony Danych Osobowych nie ma uwag do projektu nowelizacji ustawy o kontroli skarbowej. Nowe przepisy uprawniałyby inspektorów skarbowych do żądania od portali aukcyjnych, np. od Allegro, podawania danych osobowych uczestników transakcji. Natomiast od banków urzędnicy mogliby uzyskać całą historię rachunków podejrzanego, włącznie z informacjami na temat nadawców przelewów.
Z kolei według ekspertów BCC takie uprawnienia są zbyt daleko idące.
