G Data ostrzega przed nieuczciwym dystrybutorem
Holenderska firma Simiq oferuje w Polsce antywirusa G Daty bez zgody producenta.
Według G Daty Simiq łowi polskich klientów z pomocą komunikatów o rzekomym zagrożeniu złośliwym oprogramowaniem. Informacje są wyświetlane z wykorzystaniem darmowych aplikacji na Androida i na stronach internetowych. Firma oferuje internautom roczną licencję na G Data Mobile Security 2. Klienci płacą za nią wysyłanymi 3 razy w tygodniu SMS-ami Premium. Każdy kosztuje 6,15 zł. Tym samym łączny koszt korzystania z usługi przez cały rok wynosi 959,40 zł brutto. G Data Internet Security for Android (aktualnie dostępne oprogramowanie, Mobile Security 2 to starsza wersja) w sklepie G Daty kosztuje 86,40 zł.
Łukasz Nowatkowski, członek zarządu G Data Polska, zaznacza, że Simiq nie współpracuje z producentem. Nie ma jednak możliwości zablokowania jego działań.
