Producent wycofuje ponad 6 mln kabli zasilających do notebooków, ze względu na ryzyko stopienia albo zwęglenia przewodu.
Przewody noszą oznaczenie LS-15, widoczne na wtyczce do zasilacza. Były sprzedawane od września 2010 r. do czerwca 2012 r. razem z notebookami i netbookami marek HP i Compaq oraz z akcesoriami jak zasilacze i stacje dokujące. Producent ostrzega, aby ich nie używać. Dotychczas HP zgłoszono 29 przypadków przegrzania albo stopienia się kabli. W dwóch sytuacjach użytkownicy doznali niewielkich poparzeń, a w 13 doszło do strat materialnych. HP bezpłatnie wymieni feralne akcesoria. Amerykańska Komisja Bezpieczeństwa Produktów Konsumenckich (CSPC) poinformowała, że w USA i Kanadzie problem dotyczy 6 mln urządzeń. Według CSPC akcesoria były sprzedawane na całym świecie.
