Nowością QNAP jest sieciowy serwer na 2,5 calowe dyski HDD – model SS-439 Pro Turbo NAS. Urządzenie to wkrótce wzbogaci asortyment Konsorcjum FEN.
W serwerze pracuje procesor Intel Atom (1,6 GHz CPU i 1 GB DDR II pamięci) i cztery 2,5-calowe napędy HDD. Pobór mocy przez urządzenie w trybie pracy wynosi 18 W. 2,5 calowe dyski zapewniają 2 TB miejsca na dane. Pojemność tę można poszerzyć za pomocą dysków zewnętrznych, podłączanych do trzech portów USB i dwóch portów eSATA.
QNAP SS-439 Pro charakteryzuje się również dwoma portami Giga LAN, konfiguracjami RAID 0/1/5/6/5+, obsługą do 8 urządzeń ISCSI z funkcją Thin Provisioning, funkcjami automatycznego blokowania adresów IP, powiadamiania o alertech przez SMS lub email, a także obsługi certyfikatów SSL. Nowy produkt może również posłużyć do zbudowania systemu monitoringu IP z czterema kamerami.
