Exatel przejęty przez państwo
Za prawie 370 mln zł operator telekomunikacyjny przejdzie w całości w ręce Skarbu Państwa.
Polska Grupa Energetyczna, aktualny właściciel Exatela, zawarła umowę ze Skarbem Państwa. Sprzeda 100 proc. akcji spółki za 368,5 mln zł. Kontrakt w imieniu Skarbu Państwa podpisał szef Ministerstwa Obrony Narodowej, Antoni Macierewicz. Transakcja zostanie sfinalizowana w II kw. 2017 r.
Przejęcie firmy, która oferuje rozwiązania telekomunikacyjne dla administracji (klientami są ministerstwa, Sejm) i biznesu, ma umożliwić powołanie Narodowego Operatora Sieci Strategicznych. "To krok w stronę zapewnienia cybersuwerenności kraju" – tłumaczy Nikodem Bończa Tomaszewski, prezes Exatela. Spółka zarządza siecią światłowodową o długości ok. 20 tys. km oraz 2,6 tys. węzłów, z których korzystają inni operatorzy. Według zapowiedzi spółki Exatel będzie kontynuował dotychczasową działalność. Oferuje m.in. usługi transmisji danych, hosting i kolokację.
