Ericsson zwolni 3 tys. osób
Konkurencja chińskich koncernów daje się we znaki szwedzkiej firmie telekomunikacyjnej.
Ericsson poinformował, że zlikwiduje 3 tys. miejsc pracy – 1 tys. w produkcji, 800 w dziale badań i rozwoju oraz 1,2 tys. w innych specjalizacjach. Ponadto zrezygnuje z usług 900 zewnętrznych doradców.
Szwedzka firma jest pod rosnącą presją chińskich dostawców infrastruktury telekomunikacyjnej – Huawei i ZTE.
CEO Jan Frykhammar wyjaśnia, że Ericsson znajduje się w fazie długoterminowego procesu przebudowy i zamierza mocniej postawić na badania i rozwój. Postwaną 4 ośrodki R&D kosztem 730 mln euro, w tym 2 w Szwecji. Zatrudnią w ciągu 3 lat około 1 tys. inżynierów. Według szefa korporacja potrzebuje odpowiednich kompetencji, aby sprostać konkurentom.
