EPA Systemy, autoryzowany dystrybutor QNAP Systems w Polsce, wprowadziła do sprzedaży najnowszy biznesowy dysk sieciowy QNAP TS-559 Pro.
Pięciodyskowe urządzenie pomieści do 10 TB danych (przy wykorzystaniu dysków 2TB) i ma certyfikat VMware’s vSphere 4 (ESX 4.0). Stanowi rozwiązanie do współdzielenia plików i składowania danych. Może także pełnić rolę zaawansowanego serwera dla używanych w biurze aplikacji. Cena QNAP TS-559 Pro wynosi 4190 PLN netto.
QNAP TS-559 Pro wykorzystuje procesor Intel Atom D-510 1.66 Ghz Dual-core i posiada 1GB pamięci RAM DDRII. QNAP TS-559 Pro obsługuje pięć dysków hot swap, zarówno 3,5, jak i 2,5 calowych. Oferuje tryby RAID 0/1/5/5+ hot spare/6/ 6+ hot spare/JBOD, rozszerzenie pojemności RAID online oraz zmianę konfiguracji poziomu RAID online. TS-559 Pro w celu zwiększenia zabezpieczenia danych umożliwia ich szyfrowanie kluczem AES 256-bit. Nowy model posiada pięć złącz na USB (jedno na przednim panelu, cztery na tylnej części obudowy) i dwa porty e-SATA, umożliwiające rozszerzenie pojemności macierzy lub podłączenia drukarki sieciowej.
QNAP TS-559 Pro zarządzany jest przez oprogramowanie systemowe w wersji 3.2. Poprawia ono osiągi serwerów NAS wyposażonych w procesory firmy Intel. Firmware umożliwia ponadto segmentowanie targetów iSCSI i obsługę trwałej rezerwacji SPC-3. Dodano funkcje MPIO i MC/S, które umożliwiają konfigurację Forward-thinking dla SMB oraz możliwość rozlokowywania udziałów serwera NAS w środowisku wirtualizacji i klastrów. Dodatkowo, wprowadzono współpracę z Apple Time Machine oraz możliwość dodatkowego backupu danych na serwery Amazon’s S3.
