Deutsche Telekom uruchamia publiczną chmurę opartą na infrastrukturze Huawei
Podczas CeBIT 2016 Deutsche Telekom ogłosił uruchomienie platformy Open Telekom Cloud. Dostawcą sprzętu i oprogramowania dla niej jest firma Huawei.
Nowa, publiczna platforma ma zapewnić europejskim przedsiębiorstwom korzystanie z bezpiecznych usług w chmurze, wspierając proces digitalizacji ich modeli biznesowych. Jak zapewnia operator, Open Telekom Cloud zaoferuje szybki dostęp do elastycznego, ekonomicznego i bezpiecznego środowiska przetwarzania i magazynowania danych oraz komponentów sieciowych i innych usług. Zamawianie zasobów i zarzadzanie nimi umożliwi łatwy w obsłudze portal.
Open Telekom Cloud jest oparta na oprogramowaniu OpenStack IaaS i rozwiązaniach ICT firmy Huawei, a projektem zarządza T-Systems, spółka zależna Deutsche Telekom. Dzięki nowej ofercie Deutsche Telekom chce zdobyć silną pozycję w rynku, który jest obecnie zdominowany przez dostawców amerykańskich.
– „Coraz więcej klientów odkrywa zalety chmury publicznej. Oczekują oni także dalszego rozwoju jej europejskiej alternatywy” – powiedziała Anette Bronder z T-Systems Digital Division, odpowiedzialna za usługi chmurowe.
