Dell EMC pozyskał nowego partnera strategicznego. Współpraca z firmą ProphetStor pozwoli zwiększyć efektywność oraz bezpieczeństwo systemu DELL EMC VxRail.
VxRail to hiperkonwergentne rozwiązanie firmy Dell EMC, które cieszy się rosnącą popularnością wśród klientów korporacyjnych. Systemy muszą obsługiwać ogromną ilość danych, a także sprostać coraz większym obciążeniom. Taki stan rzeczy zwiększa ryzyko awarii sprzętu. Dlatego Dell EMC zdecydowało się zintegrować VxRail z rozwiązaniem DiskProphet, przeznaczonym do analizy i predykcji danych. Technologia pomaga użytkownikom w podejmowaniu proaktywnych działań, które mają na celu uniknięcie wielu problemów spowodowanych awarią dysku. Wspierając standardowe interfejsy, w tym SATA i SAS, DiskProphet w sposób ciągły monitoruje nośniki, prognozuje ich awarie, a także ocenia trendy wydajności i użytkowania, aby zapewnić optymalną pracę infrastruktury.
ProphetStor powstał w 2012 roku, a jednym z jego założycieli jest Eric Chen, który wcześniej współtworzył FalconStor. Główna siedziba ProphetStor mieści się w kalifornijskiem mieście Milpitas. Firma posiada też sześć biur w regionie Azji i Pacyfiku, a także we francuskiej miejscowości Versailles.
