Dane ze smartfonów przekazywano do Chin?
Informacje z telefonów spływały na chińskie serwery - według nieoficjalnych ustaleń. Producent sprzętu zaprzecza.
Smartfony Nokii wysyłały dane użytkowników do Chin – wynika z nieoficjalnych informacji. Chodzi m.in. o adresy MAC, IMEI i dane lokalizacyjne. Problem miał dotyczyć modelu 7 Plus. Na wyciek trafił norweski nadawca radiowy HRK. Ustalił, że dane przekazywano na serwery operatora China Telecom.
Fińska firma HMD Global, producent smartfonów marki Nokia, twierdzi, że telefony "próbowały" transferować dane do Chin. Powodem miał być błąd w konfiguracji oprogramowania, które ustawiono omyłkowo na Chiny przy aktywacji urządzenia. HMD zapewnia, że już usunięto problem. Ponadto utrzymuje, że dane nie były przetwarzane ani przekazywane dalej. Nie pozwalają też na identyfikację konkretnych osób. Nie wiadomo na razie, w jakich krajach sprzedawano urządzenia z opisanym błędem.
Fiński urząd ochrony danych rozważa wszczęcie postępowania w tej sprawie. Jego szef przypuszcza, że doszło do naruszenia przepisów RODO.
