Corning Glass: sprzedaż tabletów wzrośnie o 900 procent
Corning Glass, producent paneli do urządzeń elektronicznych, prognozuje wzrost sprzedaży tabletów o 900 procent do 2014 r. Za 3 lata klienci na całym świecie mają kupić 180 mln tych produktów.
Prognozę gigantycznych wzrostów na rynku tabletów przedstawił prezes Corning Glass Technologies Group, James Clappin. Firma dostarcza podzespoły m.in. do Samsung Galaxy, tabletu Della i do iPhone’a 4. Z danych producenta wynika, że w 2010 r. na całym świecie sprzedano 20 mln tabletów, a w 2014 r. zbyt ma osiągnąć 180 mln szt. Inni analitycy są bardziej ostrożni w wyliczeniach, ale również przewidują znaczny wzrost popytu. Według Yankee Group, firmy zajmującej się badaniami rynku, przychody ze sprzedaży tabletów w 2014 r. osiągną 46 mld euro wobec 16 mld euro w 2010 r.
– Wzrost jest bez precedensu – powiedział Dmitriy Molchanov, analityk Yankee Group – Popyt na tablety zwiększa się szybciej, niż na telewizory, konsole do gier i odtwarzacze MP3.
