Coraz więcej VR i AR w medycynie
Wartość globalnego rynku wirtualnej i rozszerzonej rzeczywistości w medycynie wynosi prawie 570 mld dolarów.
Analitycy Gartnera uznali rozwój wirtualnej (VR) i rozszerzonej (AR)rzeczywistości za jeden z najważniejszych trendów 2017 roku. Ciekawym obszarem zastosowań technologii VR (Virtual reality) i AR (Augmented reality) staje się służba zdrowia.
Firma badawcza Grand View Research oszacowała wartość globalnego rynku rozwiązań VR i AR w medycynie na 568,7 milionów dolarów. Współczynnik rocznego wzrostu (CAGR) został określony na poziomie 29,1 proc. Zgodnie z prognozą do 2025 roku rynek ten wart ma być ponad 5 miliardów dolarów.
Zdaniem analityków, spadające ceny zestawów VR sprawiają, że rozwiązania te dostępne są już nie tylko dla wyspecjalizowanych ośrodków badawczych. Aplikacje VR i AR wykorzystywane są w chirurgii, diagnostyce, psychoterapii oraz leczeniu bólu, także w polskich placówkach ochrony zdrowia. Pozwalają m.in. neurochirurgom precyzyjnie planować skomplikowane operacje, pomagają leczyć ból i stany lękowe, wspomagają rehabilitację. Są także pomocne dla studentów medycyny w nauce anatomii.
