Chomikuj.pl przeniósł się na Cypr
Nowym właścicielem portalu Chomikuj.pl została spółka FS File Solutions Limited zarejestrowana w Nikozji. Dotychczasowy operator, Team Solutions, pozbył się swoich udziałów już 1 września, jednak dotąd nie ujawniano tej transakcji.
Według Dziennika Gazety Prawnej cicha przeprowadzka Chomikuj.pl na Cypr może wiązać się z zarzutami, jakie wydawcy stawiają właścicielom portalu. Chomikuj.pl, na którym internauci mogą przechowywać i udostępniać pliki, oskarżano o wspieranie piractwa, gdyż filmy, książki i muzykę można było ściągać często z naruszeniem praw autorskich. Wydawcy szykowali zbiorowy pozew przeciwko portalowi, indywidualny pozew przygotowało PWN. W odpowiedzi portal zaproponował wydawcom współpracę. Według przedstawicieli Chomikuj.pl negocjacje trwają, z kolei wydawcy zrzeszeni w Polskiej Izbie Książki twierdzą, że nic nie wiedzieli o zmianie właściciela.
