Chmura Avnetu przybywa do Europy
W ciągu najbliższych 6 miesięcy Avnet Technology Solutions udostępni w Europie swój Cloud Marketplace.
Na początek platforma usług chmurowych będzie dostępna dla partnerów VAD-a w Wielkiej Brytanii. W listopadzie ub.r. ruszyła w USA. Umożliwia m.in. oferowanie klientom przez resellerów a także rozliczanie usług chmurowych vendorów współpracujących z Avnetem, jak IBM, Oracle, Riverbed. Według brytyjskiego CRN-a w ciągu najbliższego pół roku Cloud Marketplace zostanie uruchomiony w innych krajach europejskich. Nie podano szczegółów.
Wcześniej swoją platformę usług chmurowych uruchomił Arrow, ostatnio w podobne rozwiązanie inwestuje Ingram.
Miriam Murphy, senior vice president regionu północnego w Avnet Technology Solutions, pytana o to, jak dystrybucja ma się do chmury, twierdzi że dzięki niej będzie w inny sposób odgrywać tę samą rolę, co dotychczas.
