Asus zaprzecza, że planuje podział firmy
Nie będzie rozdzielenia koncernu na dwie części - wynika z zapowiedzi Asusa.
Po informacji o wejściu do zarządu Asusa Teda Hsu na stanowisko dyrektora odpowiedzialnego za strategię, zaczęto spekulować o możliwym podziale koncernu na dwie niezależne spółki. Jedna miałaby powstać na bazie Open Platform Group (obejmuje płyty główne, karty graficzne, monitory, produkty sieciowe i peryferia), a druga w oparciu o System Business Group (komputery, smartfony, tablety).
Zdaniem obserwatorów wobec ostrej konkurencji na rynku produktów oferowanych przez grupę systemową utrzymanie w firmie grupy Open Platform może być konieczne dla dalszego rozwoju firmy.
Na podział zdecydowały się ostatnio m.in. HP i Symantec.
