Asus wprowadził na polski rynek komputery barebone
Asus poszerzył portfolio produktów oferowanych na polskim rynku o komputery barebone. Na początek do sprzedaży trafiły 4 modele.
Urządzenia oznaczono kodami P6-P7H55E, P6-P5G41E, V6-P5G41E oraz S1-AT5NM10E. Są to obudowy w różnych rozmiarach z zasilaczem i płytą główną ze zintegrowanym układem graficznym (najczęściej również ze slotem PCI-E x16). P6-P7H55E wyposażono w chipset Intel H55 z gniazdem procesora LGA 1156. Pojemność obudowy wynosi 24 litry. Z kolei P6-P5G41E i V6-P5G41E to „kadłubki” z układem Intel G41 (stopka LGA775). Pierwszy ma pojemność 10 litrów, a drugi 24 l.
Model S1-AT5NM10E ma rozmiary nettopa (pojemność obudowy 3 litry). Został on wyposażony w chipset Intel NM10 i dwurdzeniowy procesor Atom D525, układ graficzny nVidia ION 2 i napęd optyczny DVD-RW. W obudowie znajdują się m.in. porty HDMI, FireWire i czytnik kart pamięci.
Producent wprowadził także do dystrybucji 24-litrowy barebone z chipsetem H67 (V7-P8H67E), jednak jego sprzedaż została wstrzymana do czasu, gdy Intel dostarczy pozbawione wad układy scalone z serii 6.
Sugerowane ceny detaliczne brutto: P6-P7H55E – 580 zł, P6-P5G41E – 491 zł, V6-P5G41E – 381 zł, S1-AT5NM10E – 799 zł. Gwarancja: 2 lata.
