Producent zaprezentował PadFone - urządzenie z 4,3-calowym ekranem, które ma połączyć funkcje trzech urządzeń przenośnych.
PadFone został wyposażony w dwurdzeniowy procesor Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 (1,5 GHz), 1 GB RAM-u oraz pamięć flash o pojemności 16, 32 albo 64 GB. Urządzenie ma także moduł Wi-Fi i modem HSPA+. Nagrywanie filmów umożliwia tylna kamera z matrycą o rozdzielczości 8 Mpix i przesłoną f/2,2. Zainstalowany system to Android 4.0. Z baterią o pojemności 1520 mAh (wystarcza na 360 – 370 godz. czuwania) PadFone waży 129 g.
Po umieszczeniu w stacji dokującej (kolejne 724 g) PadFone staje się 10,1-calowym tabletem z 5-krotnie większą pojemnością baterii (6600 mAh). Użytkownik może płynnie przełączać między wyświetlaczami PadFone i PadFone Station. Stacja ma złącza mikro-USB, mikro-HDMI oraz audio. Można do niej podłączyć klawiaturę QWERTY, która zmienia urządzenie w przenośny komputer.
PadFone pojawi się na polskim rynku 15 sierpnia. Cena na razie nie została ustalona. We Włoszech model z pamięcią 32 GB i stacją dokującą (bez klawiatury) kosztuje 699 euro brutto, w USA jedna z sieci wyceniła wersję 16 GB na 859,50 dol.
