Asus skoncentruje się na IoT, robotach i VR
Ze względu na słaby popyt na notebooki, karty graficzne i płyty główne, Asus będzie coraz bardziej koncentrował się na rozwoju na nowych rynkach – twierdzi Digitimes.
Według informacji serwisu Asus spogląda przede wszystkim na 3 obszary: Internetu rzeczy, robotów (w tym domowych) oraz wirtualnej i rozszerzonej rzeczywistości (VR/AR).
Na tagach Computex 2016 frma pokazała swojego robota domowego. Jak twierdzi Digitimes, Asus planuje zaprezentować swoje mobilne urządzenie VR w III kw. 2016 r., a mobilny model AR oraz komputerowe VR – w I kw. 2017 r.
Póki co jednak zarówno rynki robotów jak i VR/AR są dużo mniejsze niż tradycyjnych produktów komputerowych, stąd nie wniosą większego udziału do przychodów Asusa.
Jednak choćby VR według prognoz ma przed sobą lata wzrostu. Do 2020 r. dostawy urządzeń powinny co roku zwiększać się o 183,8 proc., a w przypadku AR o 189,8 proc. – według IDC.
