Asus: seria notebooków z procesorami Sandy Bridge
Producent wzbogacił ofertę o notebooki z serii K z procesorami Intel iCore nowej generacji. Na polski rynek trafiły urządzenia z ekranami 15,6 i 17,3 cala.
Nowe modele to K53 (15,6 cala) i K73 (17,3 cala). Notebook K53 jest dostępny na rynku polskim w trzech konfiguracjach, a K73 – w dwóch. Urządzenia wyposażono w układy Sandy Bridge i3 oraz i5, karty graficzne nVidia GeForce GT 520M lub 540M i dyski twarde o pojemności od 500 do 640 GB. Wśród dostępnych złącz są 3 lub 4 USB 2.0 oraz HDMI.
Wszystkie konfiguracje mają 4 GB RAM DDR3 i system Windows 7 Professional. Pokrywy wykonano ze szczotkowanego aluminium. Komponenty wytwarzające ciepło – procesor i kartę graficzną – umieszczono na spodzie notebooka, dzięki temu górna część obudowy pozostaje chłodna (Asus nazywa to rozwiązanie IceCool). Funkcja Palm Proof zapobiega przypadkowemu uruchomieniu touchpada.
