Asus i MSI inwestują w desktopy
Obie firmy chcą bardziej agresywnie powalczyć o udział w rynku komputerów stacjonarnych. To odpowiedź na rosnący popyt w firmach i segmencie gamingowym.
Producenci komponentów będą rozwijać własne maszyny PC, ze względu na mniejsze zainteresowanie „składakami” i większy popyt na gotowe, markowe komputery stacjonarne ze strony przedsiębiorstw oraz graczy. MSI rozpoczął prace nad nowymi klasycznymi desktopami, maszynami AIO i gamingowymi PC. Asus zwiększył natomiast wydatki na rozwój nowych rozwiązań.
Zdaniem Digitimes nowa strategia obu firm będzie miała wpływ na wyniki największych marek na rynku PC, jak HP, Lenovo, Dell i Acer. Dotychczas oferta własnych desktopów nie należała do priorytetów Asusa i MSI. Spośród największych producentów komponentów Gigabyte nadal koncentruje się na płytach głównych, ale we współpracy z Intelem i AMD zaoferował mini desktopy o nazwie Brix.
W 2013 r. Asus dostarczył na rynek prawie 2 mln biurkowych PC. W 2014 r. zamierza sprzedać 20 mln komputerów przenośnych i stacjonarnych łącznie, a za 5 lat – 50 mln.
