AMD wraca na rynek SSD
Producent czipów bez rozgłosu wprowadził do oferty komputerowe nośniki SSD.
AMD poszerzył asortyment o 2,5-calowe dyski z serii Radeon R3. Pierwszą próbę wejścia na rynek SSD podjął 2 lata temu, oferując serię Radeon R7. Będą dostępne napędu o pojemności 120 GB, 240 GB, 480 GB i 960 GB, zbudowane na kościach TLC, wyposażone w złącze SATA III. Mają kontroler Silicon Motion SM2256KX. W modelu 120 GB prędkość transferu danych wynosi 520 MB/s przy odczyci i 360 MB/s przy zapisie. Prędkość odczytu (4KB) wynosi 57400 IOPS, a zapisu 18400 IOPS. Ceny ustalono na 41 dol. za model o pojemności 120 GB, 70 dol. za 240 GB i 137 dol. za 480 GB.
