Amazon: nowe centrum logistyczne w Polsce
Gigant uruchomił w naszym kraju swój najnowocześniejszy magazyn w Europie.
Nowe centrum logistyczne Amazona znajduje się w Kołbaskowie niedaleko Szczecina, przy granicy z Niemcami. Ma obsługiwać europejskich i polskich klientów. Powierzchnia magazynu 150 tys. m kw. Docelowo będzie w nim pracować 1 tys. osób na dwóch zmianach. Wartość inwestycji wyniosła 410 mln zł. W Kołbaskowie zainstalowano m.in. nowy system magazynowy – Amazon Robotics. Ponad 3 tys. robotów będzie transportować towar, co według Amazona pozwala na zwiększenie jego ilości na składzie o 50 proc. Obiekt może pomieścić 13 mln produktów. Dotychczas najbardziej zrobotyzowany magazyn Amazona w Europie działał w Manchesterze.
Amazon informuje, że od 2014 r. zainwestował w Polsce ponad 3 mld zł – w centra logistyczne oraz w ośrodek badań i rozwoju w Gdańsku.
Oprócz Kołbaskowa Amazon ma 3 centra logistyczne – koło Wrocławia i Poznania – otwarte w 2014 r. (każde z nich ma ponad 90 tys. m kw.). Powstaje kolejny ośrodek magazynowy w Katowicach. Firma szuka lokalizacji pod kolejne obiekty.
