Amazon: nowe centrum logistyczne w Polsce
Gigant zapowiedział otwarcie największego magazynu w naszym kraju. Specjalnie dla MŚP.
Centrum logistyczne Amazona zostanie otwarte w Sosnowcu w październiku 2017 r. Powierzchnia obiektu wyniesie 135 tys. m kw. Dla porównania największe aktualnie polskie centra magazynowe mają ponad 90 tys. m kw. każdy. Wykonawcą jest Panattoni Europe. Jak podaje Amazon, nowy ośrodek będzie obsługiwać handel małych i średnich przedsiębiorców, którzy sprzedają za pośrednictwem platformy e-commerce. Ruszyła już rekrutacja kadry menedżerskiej. Nie podano wartości inwestycji.
Amazon ma obecnie 3 centra logistyczne w Polsce – dwa koło Wrocławia i jedno pod Poznaniem. W październiku ub.r. zapowiedziano otwarcie magazynów w Kołbaskowie koło Szczecina, przy granicy z Niemcami (67 tys. m kw.).
Dyrektor operacyjny Amazona, Steven Harman, poinformował, że od 2014 r. koncern zainwestował w Polsce ponad 3 mld zł – w ośrodki logistyczne, centrum badań i rozwoju w Gdańsku. Utworzył jak dotąd 7 tys. miejsc pracy w naszym kraju.
